Cairnhill is totally committed to a substantial and ongoing investment programme to enhance its ability to deliver increased precision and to minimise production delays.
The company's latest acquisition is a FICEP Close Coupled CNC Sawing and Drilling Line complete with Automated Transfer System, and Scribing Attachment which will compliment existing production lines.
The Scribing Attachment is extremely versatile, automatically marking all sawing and drilling points, as well as placing all fittings. The unit even marks the part number of each fitting at the point where it is attached to the job.
Cairnhill has also upgraded two of its four overhead cranes, introducing two 6.3 ton electric double girder cranes, to maximise use of the company's 20,000 sq ft workshop floorspace.
On the innovation front the company has started production of a new framing system which is much in demand in the construction industry. The system uses light gauge metal work, and infill panelling to replace the use of concrete on the inner shell of flats and office buildings.
